Hybrids Redux
I did some additional research since the previous post on hybrids and realized that the selection of offerings is larger and more diverse than I first considered. Honda is selling several versions of its cars with hybrid powerplants as well as other exotic engineering marvels such as continuously variable transmissions and lean burning engines that utilize computer-controlled variable valve timing (all marvelous engineering that trades fuel mileage for long-term reliability). Ford is also in the game (I strongly advise readers to not buy a Ford or any domestic car for the matter), and GM and Chrysler are not far behind.
